Dukes CutShort Term Mooring, , in or near to Oxford

Dukes Cut can be found on the Oxford Canal in Oxfordshire and quite near to Oxford.
What can be found at: Dukes Cut
Dukes Cut was commissioned by the 4th Duke of Marlborough (George Spencer) in the 1880's. The cut opened in 1879. The exact date is not documented although there is mention of the cuts use in October 1879 in William Jackson's Oxford Journal.
Joining the Oxford Canal to the River Thames just upstream of King's Lock and Weir. Originally constructed to convey coal to the Upper Thames area. Previously, this was only possible via London which made it very expensive. Dukes Cut dramatically changed this.
In the modern canal age, Dukes Cut is a popular route to the River Thames and then of course London or the Kennet & Avon Canal.
There are no facilities here, there is mooring which is limited to 48 hours.
It's not a much sort after mooring location...! I Do Canals recommends a little further towards Oxford or North of Dukes Cut on the Oxford Canal.
Mooring on the Wolvercote Mill Stream between Dukes Cut and the River Thames is possible, but be aware of possible changes in water levels.
