Boating facilities here include: Water, Elsan and Refuse Disposal. There is a waterside pub (The Greyhound) and car parking.
Although not marked on most canal maps, the junction is also a good winding hole (place to turn a boat).

On the Oxford Canal at its most northern end where it meets the Coventry Canal.

Also known as Sutton Stop after a family who were Lock Keepers during the nineteenth century. Where the canals meet, there is an unintended difference in the water height. This was overcome by the installation of the Stop Lock.

The lock has the least amount of elevation of any of the locks on the Canal Network. Rising/falling only 7 inches and added to prevent the loss of water from the Oxford Canal to the Coventry Canal.

Across the Coventry Canal there is an Engine House that used to be occupied by a Newcomen Steam Engine, called Lady Godiva, for pumping the water from the Coventry Colliery. The engine was installed in 1821 and remained working until 1913. After standing idle for almost five decades, it was removed in 1960 and now stands in the Dartmouth Museum.

The Junction Bridge, installed by the Coventry Canal Company in 1837 and built by Britannia Foundry in Derby, spans 50 feet across the gap in the towpath.
