The Canal Museum @ The BoilerHouse can be found on the Grand Union Canal Leicester Line in Leicestershire and quite near to Foxton.

Set at the middle of the Famous Foxton Locks site, The Canal Museum uses fun and animated films to support its historic collection of artefacts and to tell the story of Foxton Locks and The inclined Plane Boat Lift.
FIPT (Foxton Inclined Plane Trust) has a primary aim to foster interest in the Boat Lift often known as the Inclined Plane. We also love the unique Foxton locks and the 3,000 miles of inland navigable waterways.
We run the independent Foxton Canal Museum. On its doorstep we have the staircase of 10 locks. The Museum is in the reconstructed boiler house for the Boat Lift, which used to run down from its back wall.
