There are now excellent facilities for mooring boats In Lincoln in the historic Brayford Pool, reputedly the oldest inland harbour in England dating back to Roman times
Located in the heart of the City where the River Witham meets the Fossdyke Canal, the Brayford Harbour offers a unique, and interesting stop for visiting cruisers and narrowboats navigating the Lincolnshire waterways, as well as providing berths for those seeking a long term mooring in a lively city environment.
Navigation in the Pool
Please ensure when travelling through the Pool that you keep to the navigational channel towards the north bank other than when accessing the moorings themselves, as the water can be quite shallow outside these areas.
